The Disease of Being Busy

by Steve Cook

12/21/2016

This disease of being “busy” (and let’s call it what it is, the dis-ease of being busy, when we are never at ease) is spiritually destructive to our health and wellbeing. It saps our ability to be fully present with those we love the most in our families, and keeps us from forming the kind of community that we all so desperately crave. Since the 1950s, we have had so many new technological innovations that we thought (or were promised) would make our lives easier, faster, simpler. Yet, we have no more “free” or leisurely time today than we did decades ago.

Parenting Ain't Easy...

by Shaun McCloskey

10/5/2016

As I drove home from an appointment last night, I saw my sons bicycle in the street at a friends house that lives a little ways up the road. I've asked him a a number of times now to take the bike up to his buddy's house when he goes there, because if he doesn't, people can see it from the main street in front of our little subdivision and I'm afraid someone might steal it. (That happened to me as a kid and it broke my heart... My bike was gone forever!)

by Chuck Bauman

8/29/2016

I have made a commitment to attempt a Half-Ironman at the end of October in Austin TX. In theory, preparation for an event like this is pretty straightforward. Swim a lot, bike a lot, run a lot and repeat often. I am making great progress with this method in the bike and the run and have some confidence that I will be fine in those two portions of the event.

by Steve Cook

7/7/2016

Gabe Strom adores Steve Cook and with good reason. Before attending a Lifeonaire event, Gabe had failed more than he succeeded in his attempts at creating a business. God told Gabe, by way of Steve Cook, to leave it to Him and everything would get better and it did.

Live the Life You Desire to Live through Location Independent Living

by Steve Cook

5/3/2016

The Lifeonaire program is designed to assist you in living the life you desire. Today’s guest, Glenn, had a lot of material ‘stuff’ before he first attended one of our Secret Sauce events. Shortly after, he sat down with his wife, and together they wrote a life vision, which they felt resembled the life they truly desired. Their life vision was not like anyone else’s. They wanted to travel and to support themselves by means that are location-independent. Their vision gave birth to their website and interactive Facebook group, which they are using to share their experience with others and to help them live the life they desire.

Different Ways to Achieve Financial Freedom

by Ken Holmes

12/21/2015

In my opinion, the main job of every family’s breadwinner (or winners) is to replace themselves. There are all kinds of lists, and this is certainly not the first one that covers the characteristics of successful people, however this one just may be different than any other you have seen published before. You see, I’m the kind of person that, if you ask me to give you a list of the top ten most successful I know, I would ask you to define success.

Self-Employed or Self-Enslaved?

by Jason Wojo

2/4/2014

A lot of people, after consulting with their vision and doing the Lifeonaire schedule exercise, feel that they can’t work a normal 40-plus-hour workweek and still live the ideal life they desire. (The schedule exercise is where you fill in a blank schedule hour-by-hour first with all the things you want to do (fun stuff you enjoy), THEN you fill in the left over available hours with work – if you go to a LIFEonaire event this is something they’ll teach you how to do).

Resolve Not To Be A Resolutioner

by Jason Wojo

1/13/2014

As we all know, it’s impossible to talk about the New Year without talking about a certain Rated-R word…Resolutions. Maybe you still make resolutions…maybe you don’t. Every year it seems less and less people do because they figure “What’s the point?” They’ve failed so many times in the past they just assume this time will be the same - they won’t follow through and will just get disappointed and frustrated with themselves. It takes some effort.

Healthy Self Interest vs. Selfishness

by Chuck Bauman

12/19/2013

The best way to optimize a business or a life for that matter is to start with a healthy self-interest. Many people struggle with feeling like they are being selfish when they value their own self-interest but I believe it is the only way to optimize your life or your business.

Giving - Start Small

by Steve Cook

12/16/2013

In this season of giving, I have been told by a few people something along these lines: “One day I hope to be in a position like you so that I can give the way that you do.” I usually ask them “what do you give now?” And the answer is almost always nothing. They say that they can not give now but one day they hope to be able to do so.
